Sentientics noun, discipline: The framework articulating how human-shaped language operates at the address layer between humans and AI. Founded by Barrister Fraz Wahlah. Sits in the company of linguistics, semiotics, and cybernetics — fields that name what they study with the -ics suffix.
Sentient adjective; also noun, short for Sentientic Verb: The verb-element of a Living Domain. The element that carries sentience into automated address. The catalogue of admitted Sentients holds 89 verbs across 16 families.
Sentientic Resonance noun, quantitative: The scale on which a construction's sentient quality is measured. What the Wahlah Sentientic Resonance Index quantifies. "This construction has high Sentientic Resonance."
Sentiencity noun, qualitative: The qualitative character of the sentient element — its family, its relational stance, its kind. "The Sentiencity of informs is cognition-family — it carries an inform-the-listener relational stance."
Living Domain noun, two tiers: A construction admitted under the framework's architectural equation. Sentient tier: brand.verb.you (L = B × S × U) — a complete sentence at the address layer. Generative tier: brand.verb.you/promise (L_G = B × V_g × U × P) — the architecture extends into the URL path. The catalogue holds 87 Sentients and 2 Generative Grammatical Domains: 89 Living Domains in all.
Wahlah Sentientic Resonance Index (SRI) noun, the discipline's formal measurement instrument: The canonical measurement, introduced by Barrister Fraz Wahlah in Treatise Chapter V: SRI = Φ × (0.30·Oₐ + 0.22·Cₚ + 0.22·Rₜ + 0.14·Nᵥ + 0.12·Pᵣ). Five additive variables; one multiplier (Φ); two binary gates (Phase 6, Phase 7). Admission threshold 0.70. The eponymous form establishes the instrument as a named scholarly artefact permanently bonded to its author.
Generative Grammatical Domain (GGD) noun, the catalogue's second tier: A verb-extension admitted to the catalogue that opens a grammar at the URL path rather than naming a single relationship at the address layer. The architectural equation extends from L = B × S × U to L_G = B × V_g × U × P. Two are admitted: .gives.you (the verb of transfer) and .brings.you (the verb of delivery). The verb is admitted once to commons; each specific brand × verb × path composition is qualified separately under the same seven-phase protocol.
Path-Promise noun, the path slot of a GGD: The noun that occupies the URL path after a Generative Grammatical Domain — the specific commitment the brand makes through that verb. clarity in aurora.gives.you/clarity; space in rocket.brings.you/space. Each Path-Promise is qualified against the brand through Stage 2 of the GGD protocol.
Irreplicability Theorem theorem (Treatise Definition 3.3): No other TLD — current or future — can produce a Living Domain in English under the framework's architecture. The architecture requires the top-level domain to be a second-person personal pronoun, and English has exactly one. What is grammatically exclusive is structurally permanent. The theorem holds across both tiers; it is grammatical, not commercial.
Φ (Phi) noun, the empathy modulator: The respect-premium multiplier. Theorem 5.2: when Φ = 0, SRI = 0 regardless of the additive sum. The reader is the framework's charge, not the brand's subject.
Oₐ — Ontological Authenticity variable, weight 0.30: Whether the verb authentically represents what the brand performs. Highest-weighted variable because misalignment at this layer corrupts every downstream phase. Soft-cap: Oₐ < 0.55 caps the displayed tier at MID, regardless of total SRI.
Cₚ — Cognitive Priming variable, weight 0.22: How concretely the verb activates the listener's motor and conceptual circuits — embodied semantics (Pulvermüller 2002; Gallese & Lakoff 2005).
Rₜ — Radio-Test Survival variable, weight 0.22: How cleanly the construction survives spoken transmission in noisy conditions. The dictation test the framework takes seriously.
Nᵥ — Narrative Velocity variable, weight 0.14: How briskly the sentence reads — the cadence carrying brand → verb → addressee without friction.
Pᵣ — Prosodic Rhythm variable, weight 0.12: The phonetic boundary between brand and verb — where vowels and consonants meet, where syllabic stresses fall.
Phase 6 — Jurisprudential Semantics gating phase: Category-refusal screen for the construction's reviewability under speech-act jurisprudence. Detailed jurisprudential opinion remains the responsibility of qualified counsel.
Phase 7 — Architectural Restoration gating phase: Verifies the construction composes a complete grammatical sentence: subject + transitive verb + addressed second person. The architectural restoration the framework names. A name that scores high on Phases 1–5 but fails Phase 7 is elegant but inert.
Theorem 5.2 — Multiplicative Empathy theorem: Φ enters the SRI formula as a multiplier, not an additive term. When the verb fails the respect test, Φ = 0 and the entire SRI is zeroed — regardless of how strong every other variable scores. The reader's dignity is non-negotiable.
